Here is everything you need to know about the all-new 5G smartphone from Huawei.
While the phone is largely similar to the vanilla Huawei Mate 20 X, it's received a few supercharged specs in addition to the obvious 5G oomph. The Mate 20 X 5G is the first Huawei 5G phone to launch this year, but it should be followed somewhat closely by the foldable Mate X the company unveiled earlier this year. The two Mate 20X (5G version) mobile phones are located at two test sites in Beijing and Huairou, respectively, at least 60 kilometers apart, and the test distance is close to the commercial real scene.
Today Huawei has confirmed the Mate 20 X 5G will go on sale in the United Kingdom in June at £999. You still get fast 40W battery charging on the 5G model, though. The new Mate 20 X is also compatible with the M-Pen stylus, which is similar to the S-Pen stylus that defines the Galaxy Note smartphone range from Samsung.

The Huawei Mate 20 X 5G actually made its debut in Switzerland at the start of the month, on the nation's Sunrise network. The HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC powers the smartphone with Balong 5000 modem, which is the company's own 5G modem. But the phone has a smaller battery (4,200 mAh vs. 5,000 mAh) and lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack the 4G version has.
The Mate 20 had already been reduced to £730 by some retailers but things have not got even cheaper with Debenhams selling Huawei's flagship for just £659 - that's a saving of over £200 off their original price.
Both devices look set to jump straight to the top of our best camera phone list, thanks to the serious firepower they're packing in the photography stakes. The 5G model also retains the original's triple camera setup consisting of a 40MP f/1.8 main sensor, 20MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto camera.
