HTC is yet another maker to detail its plans for Android 9.0 Pie updates. After all, Google has bought most of the people responsible for making HTC phones - the entire division, in fact - and it's much more focused on Vive virtual reality headset now, it appears. The HTC U11 will receive Android 9 Pie update by the end of May 2019, whereas, the HTC U11+ and the HTC U12+ will receive the Android 9 Pie update the end of June 2019. The last few years have been hard on the company, forcing it to downsize its business and exit numerous markets. Back in March, the company has announced that it will start rolling out the Android Pie Update to some of its smartphones very soon.
HTC was also once among the first Android vendors with the latest version of Google's software, both when it came to updating existing flagships and offering it on latest releases out of the box. Other HTC smartphones users will probably have to give up on ever seeing the Android 9 Pie update coming their way.
