The New Mexico Department of Health is offering free HIV and hepatitis B and C screenings to anyone who got shots at the VIP Spa between May and September 2018, before the spa was shut down after a health inspection.
Among the injection procedures offered by VIP was the vampire facial, which pulls, then re-inserts the client's own blood into their face with micro-needling to refresh skin.
"A few years ago, I heard about a 'vampire facial, ' and I was so intrigued", the star wrote.
Yet if the equipment is not properly disposed of or sterilized between facials, it could expose patients.
"The NMDOH investigation has not identified potential exposures for HIV transmission other than the injection-related procedures at the VIP Spa", a health department spokesperson said.
