Larry King suffered a serious health issue last week, but is now recovering.
As he was getting ready to go to the facility, King went into cardiac arrest. News in a statement.
He was taken to hospital by an ambulance where doctors performed an emergency angioplasty and inserted several stents, which successfully opened up an artery that had collapsed. "At first I thought it was something else because the pain was on my right side - the right shoulder, but as soon as I took tests at the hospital, they confirmed I had just experienced a heart attack".
TMZ initially reported Monday that the 85-year-old suffered a heart attack after going into cardiac arrest.
"Larry [King] is in good spirits and thanks everyone for their concern", the statement concluded. "He's expected to be back to work on his shows, "Larry King Now" and "PoliticKING with Larry King" soon".

Larry has had heart issues for 30 years.
That incident changed King's life, and the way he thought about heart health.
