The fallout of the Orchids of Asia Day Spa continues after police busted another woman who was said to be in the room with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and doing sexual things with him along with another woman. Kraft pleaded not guilty to the charges but has issued a statement apologizing for his conduct.
On Tuesday, a Palm Beach County judge ruled the surveillance video of Kraft at Orchids of Asia Day Spa can not be released.
Attorneys Kathleen S. Phang and Tama Beth Kudman also argued that someone at the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office or Jupiter police leaked the video.
Kraft, 77, was caught on surveillance video engaging in sex acts with Mingbi and another worker, according to cops.
Police had Mingbi under surveillance in February when detectives saw her make a cash deposit at the Bank of America in the Jupiter Square Plaza, according to CBS affiliate WPEC.Читайте также: SCOTUS will consider sexual orientation, transgender discrimination under Title VII
Mingbi appeared in court Tuesday with a Mandarin interpreter after being taken into custody late Monday.
There is a hearing Friday after Kraft requested to suppress the video surveillance footage obtained by police who hid surveillance cameras inside the day spa in January.
Mingbi was charged with one count of deriving support for prostitution and eight counts of offering to commit prostitution.
Mingbi is set to be released on $5,000 bond as long as she surrenders her passport and does not work in the spa/massage industry.
The New York Daily News reported last week that someone anonymously contacted TheBlast.com saying they had video showing Kraft naked with another person, presumably a massage therapist at the Orchids of Asia day spa in Jupiter.
