Authorities are seeking Sol Pais, 18, who is thought to have made undisclosed threats that prompted Columbine and more than 20 other schools outside Denver to lock their doors for almost three hours Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say she is "infatuated" with the Columbine High School shooting and made undisclosed threats to area schools.
She made "credible" - but unspecific - threats after traveling from Miami to Denver on Monday night, and is considered risky, said Dean Phillips, the special agent in charge of the local Federal Bureau of Investigation office. The sheet also says, "If contacted detain and evaluate mental health status then contact Det. She is armed & considered to be extremely risky", the sheriff's office said on Twitter, adding that Pais was wearing a black T-shirt, camouflage trousers and black boots and was last seen in the Jefferson County foothills.
She is described as an 18-year-old white female from Florida last seen in the area wearing camouflage pants, a black t-shirt and black boots.
"It's a credible threat ... but she did not make it directly", Jenny Fulton, a spokeswoman with the local sheriff's office, told CNN.
Columbine and dozens of other Denver-area schools were issued a security threat Tuesday afternoon and a decision will be made early Wednesday as to whether schools will be in session or other security measures taken, officials said in a late-night press conference.

Twenty years ago this month Columbine High School in Colorado became the scene of one of the worst schootings in history.
The doors were locked at Columbine and more than 20 other schools in the Denver area as the sheriff's office said it was investigating threats against schools related to an FBI investigation.
Two hours after announcing the lockouts, the school system reported that all students and staff were safe, adding that students would be released from the schools and buses would run on their normal schedule, though some may be slightly delayed.
A spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Mike Taplin, said the lockdowns involved an FBI investigation but he couldn't provide any details. "We will have extra safety and security staff on site at all schools affected".
On April 20, 1999, a pair of students rampaged through Columbine High School, murdering 12 of their classmates and a teacher and wounding 24 before killing themselves. Multiple schools are on lockout in Columbine area & Mountains.
In December, an anonymous caller claimed bombs had been planted inside Columbine high school. "We want our schools to be a safe place for kids to learn". There was no immediate indication whether Tuesday's lockdown has any connection to the anniversary.
