White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Monday dismissed concerns publicly voiced by her husband, lawyer George Conway, that President Trump's mental condition is deteriorating and should be of concern to his Cabinet.
Conway suggested Trump doesn't have a "rational plan or strategy" and that "the things he says and does" are "a product of his pathologies". Kellyanne Conway reportedly said that she and Trump believe her husband, who had been particularly critical of the president in recent days and even argued that he has a mental illness, is jealous of her success.
Trump and Parscale were seemingly angered by George Conway suggesting he was a narcissist. Kellyanne Conway also said it was the fault of the news media for giving her husband such a platform, and that some of George Conway's close friends had asked him to stop.
"No one was prouder than I was that she was able to elect this man president despite his obvious flaws", he said.
The Washington Post published a 2006 letter, a decade before Trump ran for the presidency, in which Trump, then a real estate mogul, praised George Conway for his work representing him in a dispute with tenants at his Trump World Tower condominium in NY. Hardly a day goes by without Trump tweeting something about opponents, critics, or the media at large, usually insulting and including favorite pet names Trump has assigned them. POTUS doesn't even know him!' Parscale tweeted Monday night.Читайте также: Supermoon 2019: "Super worm equinox moon", last supermoon of 2019, starts tonight
"He's just trying to get publicity for himself", Mr Trump said.
Conway then shared the cover of the fifth edition of the DSM-5 and two more tweets on the specific diagnostic criteria for someone who suffers from narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder. "I really don't know the guy".
Amid Trump's wild tweetstorm this past weekend, Conway started expressing alarm about the president's mental fitness.
Conway also retweeted Trump's insult against him, adding that it only hurts Trump's cause. "The mendacity, the incompetence, it's just maddening to watch". The impression it gives off is that Conway likes the attention and wants to constantly remind everyone he doesn't like his wife's boss, regardless of the impact it might have on her. YMMV, I suppose.
I suppose, like the fate of Trump's presidency, the Conways' end game is remains to be seen.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
