Seungri, whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun, is a 28-year-old mogul and singer in South Korea's popular K-pop scene.
He is also linked to an ongoing police case over Burning Sun, a nightclub where he was a public relations director, for multiple investigations into illegal narcotics use and sexual assault.
The search stems from leaked Kakaotalk messages from 2015 that are alleged to be between Seungri, CEO Yoo of Yuri Holdings, and a club employee. He announced on Instagram that he will be stepping away from music in order to fight the charges and preserve the band's integrity as well as that of his talent agency backer YG Entertainment.
