That's right! The company took the stage at MWC 2019 to unveil its first foldable phone - the Huawei Mate X. The device can be unfolded to convert it into a tablet adding some serious display real estate. It's folding. Folding is more intuitive and a much more hard innovation to materialize. The Galaxy Fold is equipped with the world's first 7-inch Infinity Flex Display, which folds into a compact device.
Analysts have, however, already been openly skeptical of the benefits the Mate X's 5G will bring.
Huawei hasn't provided any specs concerning the camera, but it once again praised its capabilities, claiming the device features the "best-in-class selfie with new Leica camera".
We know very little about the camera on the Mate X, other than that it's a triple-module system. For robust performance, you've got 8GB RAM and enough 512GB internal storage space.
This is all guesswork of course, and with any luck Huawei will shine a light on things sooner than later. "We created the Galaxy Fold for those who want to experience what a premium portable device can do, beyond the limitations of a traditional smartphone", said DJ Koh, chairman and CEO of the IT & Mobile Communications division, Samsung Electronics.
Huawei's 55W SuperCharge tech, which debuts on the Mate X, not only surpasses the 40W charging in the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, but it can also power up the Mate X to 85% from 0% in just 30 minutes.
According to Huawei, the Kirin 980 and Balong 5000 modem are capable of 4.6Gbps downlink speeds, which are double the industry standard for 5G and ten times what's now available with 4G networks. Our experience with the UI was very smooth, especially considering that the phone is some way off actually retailing.Читайте также: At AIPAC, Pence continues Trump attacks against Democrats
The Huawei Mate X confirms that we are entering a new era in smartphone design with flexible displays offering an array of new possibilities.
Let the battle of the foldable phones begin. It's stiff in a high-quality, reassuring way that dissuades you from absentmindedly opening and closing the screen.
As The Verge notes, "the lighting conditions in the video are a lot better than Samsung's press event last week, so you really get a better idea of how the Galaxy Fold works in both phone and tablet modes".
"I can't say the exact number of times", Gang said, "we still have to do more experiments but, in any case, we will definitely meet consumers' requirements" before the actual product launch.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
