That's right, Google will harken back to the beloved Nexus smartphone line it discontinued and release two lower-cost versions of its most recent Pixel handsets. Apart from the fact that many Android devices will not be upgraded to Q (only recent devices are guaranteed to get the latest version), Google's playing catchup here: Apple's iPhone has had the same feature since iOS 11 in 2017.
Apart from the above, Android Q also introduces support for a new of new technologies.
One of the coolest features launched with the Google Pixel 3 is Call Screen, which allows you to have Google Assistant answer your spam calls.
Google's shown off its schedule for beta releases and the final version in a handy timeline. The first release of the OS is far from ready for public use and primarily meant for developers to try out Q and prepare their app for all the changes that it brings.
You can find more info about Android Q in Google Official blog post. With Android Q, you will gain the option of letting an app access your location information only while you're actively using the app.
So, here are some example ADB commands you can send to change up Android Q's gestures for the better.

Android Q is also adding Settings Panels to help you quickly enable a specific setting that an app needs.
As well as the above, it is hoped that there will be a system-wide dark mode implemented with an "override" option to force apps without dark mode to work with the night-friendly colour scheme.
If you have an "always on" mode activated on your Pixel phone, you'll notice that Android Q displays what's now playing (if anything actually is playing), whether it's a track from Spotify or a podcast episode.
This is because a previous benchmarking leak revealed that the Pixel 3a XL was tested with 3GB RAM and a Snapdragon 625, which in a nutshell, are disappointing specifications for a device with the name "Pixel" attached to it. Google has a beta program that lets you update via a simple OTA. Don't do this out of casual interest, especially since future betas figure to be more stable.
We must however repeat: this beta is more for developers rather than for general use.
