The word had always been that LG wasn't going to hold back on getting a 5G phone to market and it looks like the LG V50 ThinQ will be announced at LG's press event at Mobile World Congress on 24 February 2019. It also makes sense for the timeline - it had already been confirmed to debut on Sprint (A US telco) during the first half of 2019.
It's courtesy of seasoned tipster Evan Blass, so it's very likely that we're looking at a genuine picture of the LG V50 ThinQ. We'll just have to see if and how the US Sprint partnership plays into all that.
We've known for a little while now that LG would be debuting its first 5G phone this year. Besides a yellow 5G logo on the back and within the status bar on the front, there also appears to be three cameras on the rear. Firstly, the display has a notch to the top that looks a lot like the LG V40 ThinQ.
