The new Ferrari F8 Tributo has been unwrapped, with this latest mid-rear engined sports auto effectively replacing the 488 GTB and boasting the most powerful V8 in Prancing Horse history for a non-special series vehicle. The F8 Tributo is the replacement for the 488 GTB and brings improvements across the board according to Ferrari.
Ferrari took the covers off of its F8 Tributo at the end of February, one of five new cars the Italian marque says it plans to unveil in 2019.
Due to the uprated 3.9-litre V8 engine, which now makes 720hp and 770Nm of peak torque (an increase of 10Nm over the 488 GTB), the F8 Tributo is the fastest mid-engined Ferrari yet.
By Ferrari estimates, the F8 Tribuno can hit 62 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds.
Improvements to the F8 Tributo over the 488 GTB include a 49 hp increase in power, a 40 kg weight reduction and a 10 percent improvement in aerodynamic efficiency.
What's more, the F8 Tributo weighs 2,932 pounds dry when graced with all of the lightweight options.

Styling-wise, the F8 Tributo's proportions betray the fact that it's not quite an all-new model. Introduced on the 488 Pista, the FDE+ adjusts brake calliper pressure to help maintain control during lateral acceleration, making the vehicle more playful in the corners.

Ferrari says the F8 Tributo "is essentially a bridge to a new design language", indirectly acknowledging that it's not an all-new design. Most obvious of all is the adoption of the "S-Duct", which effectively amounts to a front wing.
Around the front, there are slimmer LED headlights which leave more room for cooling ducts, as well as the S-Duct which adds 15 percent more downforce. The spoiler wraps around the taillights, allowing a return to the classic twin light cluster and body-colored tail seen on the 308. It features the same driver-oriented layout, although Ferrari stresses that every element of the dash, door panels, and center tunnel has been completely redesigned.
As for the exterior, it's clearly an evolution of the 488. Highlights include a new HMI (Human Machine Interface), new multifunction steering wheel, round air vents, and a 7-inch passenger touchscreen display.
