Ole Miss narrowly won the contest, beating Georgia 72-71.

Ole Miss Athletic director Ross Bjork said he had a discussion with the players about the on-campus protest. "And I think our players made an emotional decision to show these people they're not welcome on our campus, and we respect our players freedom and ability to choose that". They're protesting during our game, and that's not right because that's not the Ole Miss that I know'. Both groups departed without incident during the second half of the basketball game. The university doesn't want them.
"The problem we kept facing is that the solution would either be very safe but ineffective as platforms, or it would be an effective platform, but the university did not feel it could provide security arrangements that would be satisfactory to us and themselves", he said in a Facebook post Thursday, the Oxford Eagle reported.
