And according to Disney, their relationship with EA is solid, which means that licence is unlikely to go elsewhere for now. As a response, Iger said "we haven't been particularly good at the self-publishing side, but we've been great at the licensing side".
Iger also noted that Disney will make a concerted effort to market any future Deadpool films and other R-rated movies under the Disney and Marvel banners in a very particular way.
"'It [Deadpool] clearly has been and will be Marvel branded", Iger said in a call with media, via The Hollywood Reporter.
