Bohemian Rhapsody director Bryan Singer has been accused of engaging in sexual misconduct with underage boys in a new expose. If the piece seems well-timed, it's most likely because the Oscars chose to honor a film made by a man who not only behaved incredibly unprofessionally and was ultimately fired, but one with serious allegations of sexual assault of minors against him.
He claims that Singer first approached him in a bathroom at his school, and then asked him to be in the film.
The fourth accuser says they were 17 when they began their sexual relationship.
Two other men - referred to pseudonymously as Eric and Andy - accuse Singer of having sex with them knowing they were under the age of consent of 18 in California, where the events allegedly took place. Singer was a regular at parties at the DEN founder's mansion, where according to an eventual federal investigation, "teenage boys were allegedly given alcohol and drugs, encouraged to have sex with older men, and in some cases raped". The article was initially expected to appear in that magazine. He claimed those writing the article were "making assumptions that are fictional and irresponsible".
An Esquire spokeswoman didn't immediately answer HuffPost's inquiry about why the magazine didn't publish the story. However, the article's authors, Alex French and Maximillian Potter, reportedly spent 12 months investigating these various claims and they spoke to 50 different sources. Singer denied this accusation, saying he'd never met Valdovinos. Here's what he had to say. He recalls being cornered in a locker room by Singer, who "grabbed my genitals and started masturbating it", he tells The Atlantic. He alleged Esquire had sold the story to The Atlantic. It's sad that The Atlantic would stoop to this low standard of journalistic integrity.

If the justices do decide to take up the matter, the earliest it would be heard is in October , the court's next session. With the lower courts ruling against the administration and the high court not yet taking action, DACA remains in place.
The years of allegations against Singer have cast a shadow over "Bohemian Rhapsody", which - despite polarizing reviews - has become a major box-office hit and awards contender.
Singer previously faced multiple accusations of sexual misconduct.
Fox terminated Singer's services as "Bohemian Rhapsody" helmer under the "pay or play" provision of his contract, sources had indicated at the time, due to his repeated failures to show up on the set, which brought the production to a halt in December 2017. At the time, Egan was 17-years-old. Although this lawsuit eventually fell apart (among other reasons, Egan had pled guilty to criminal fraud charges in an unrelated case) and Singer kept on working.
Cesar Sanchez-Guzman, the accuser who emerged in December 2017, alleges that Singer raped him during a yacht party in 2003, when Sanchez-Guzman was 17, and that Singer warned him afterward: "Nobody is going to believe you".
