YouTube has released its annual list of top trending videos in Canada for 2018 and videos of the Walmart yodeling kid and this year's Royal Wedding are among some of the videos that have been watched millions of times. But were they in YouTube rewind?
The Verge even criticized the YouTube Rewind 2018, saying that YouTube chose to spotlight certain stars and to ignore others in an effort to "appease advertisers".

Last year's Rewind featured Despacito, multiple Salt Bae references and Logan Paul, who was notably absent from this year's clip following a controversy-packed year. If the whole video had been about that, I'd have been okay with it - but I get it, that's not what Rewind is generally about.
