Former Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt apologized and expressed shame in a Sunday morning ESPN interview for a February altercation where he shoved and kicked a woman in the hallway of a Cleveland hotel.
Hunt deserves a second chance and anyone saying otherwise should never cheer or compliment that numerous criminals who are now in the National Football League if they do then they are hypocrites. What perspective could Hunt have possibly gained since he was released by the Chiefs less than 48 hours ago, when he coasted through an entire season without feeling the need to come clean about what had actually happened that night?
Hunt, 23, a suburban Cleveland native, was widely considered one of the league's best at the running back position and was one of the primary weapons for the high-powered Chiefs offense. As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Hunt pushed the woman, and she hit him back in the face. Hunt also kicks the woman in the leg. But, the Chiefs said, "Kareem was not truthful in those discussions". Rice, the former Baltimore Raven, found himself in a similar situation in 2014 when TMZ released footage of him viciously beating his then-fiancee which was caught on a hotel security camera. He said he wants to get treatment for it, but also says he has not tried to seek treatment.
Hunt, who was released by the Chiefs after being placed on the NFL's Commissioner Exempt List on Friday, was seen on the video shoving and kicking a 19-year-old woman in the early hours of February 10.

"On that video, that's not me, that's not the person I am, Hunt said".
Rice said he would like to help Hunt, "because he has a long life to live, this will be a defining moment, but it shouldn't be the moment that defines you". For any team that is able to employ Hunt in the future, they'll be getting a player with 25 touchdowns in 27 career games and just under 3,000 yards from scrimmage in that time.
