CES news is coming thick and fast in the lead up to the big technology conference in January.
Working closely with Meridian, LG set out to improve sound quality across its product portfolio, extending Meridian's exclusive technology to three soundbar models (models SL10YG, SL9YG and SL8YG) this year.
The sound bars are created to match the look of LG's OLED TVs, and at 57mm deep, can be installed flush on a wall to save space and "make a sophisticated statement".
LG's new speakers are also all equipped with Google Assistant, which makes it possible to control each with voice commands.
If you want the full surround sound experience you can also team the new soundbars up with LG's optional wireless Rear Speaker Kit (SPK8).
The more high-end SL10, SL9 and SL8 sound bars take it a step further with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. You can use it to control the volume or other aspects of the TV, control your smart home, or anything else that Google Assistant can do. With these two acclaimed technologies, users can enjoy breathtakingly realistic surround sound that seems to come from multiple directions and depths. As LG and Meridian put it, the soundbar range isn't just meant to deliver better audio but work toward ennobling your home entertainment setup as a whole. With some of LGs premium soundbars supporting high-resolution audio via an advanced processing algorithm that can upscale conventional file formats, the output comes even closer to studio quality. The LG SL9 is slim at 57mm (2.25 in) deep and has an integrated gyroscope sensor to help you correctly position the sound bar on a wall or flat surface.
Visitors to LGs booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center (Central Hall #11100) during CES 2019 will experience first-hand the award-winning the 2019 LG soundbar models.
