News yesterday that senior White House adviser Ivanka Trump had used a personal email account to do government business didn't come as a complete shock.
The Post, attributing its information to people familiar with the White House examination of Trump's emails, said those people told the newspaper that almost 100 messages on her personal account violated the Presidential Records Act as they apply to government policies and other official business. However, it has not yet been alleged that Ivanka transmitted any classified information through this private email account.
According to the committee's incoming chairman, Rep. Elijah E. Cummings (D-MD), a bipartisan probe launched a year ago stalled after the White House failed to provide the requested information, the Post reported.
Clinton insisted none of the messages on her server contained classified information.
Cummings insisted that "my goal is to prevent this from happening again - not to turn this into a spectacle the way Republicans went after Hillary Clinton".

She became an official employee in March 2017, and continued to use her private email for government business.
