The Lion King is set to release in the U.S. on 19 July 2019. While described as live-action, The Lion King is actually mostly CGI. Jon Favreau, who directed The Jungle Book for the studio in 2016, is helming the project.
In the teaser, the shaman Rafiki looks at the young prince and soon to be king, Simba.
Since its release, The Lion King has gone down in history as arguably one of the greatest animated films, possibly even taking the number one spot. This includes the return of James Earl Jones as Mufasa.

The film was first teased at Disney's D23 Expo in California past year, with select clips screened exclusively to attendees.

Lions will rule the African savanna this summer when Donald Glover takes on the role of the future king Simba. The one-and-a-half-minute promo starts with the glimpse of attractive African savanna forest followed by all the animals walking towards one direction to meet their king. Its music earned it two Academy Awards - for the score and Elton John's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" - and it was adapted into a Tony-winning Broadway musical.
