Apple said that on some iPhone X devices, display screens are experiencing touch issues. Apple also notes that this issue is limited to the 2017 iPhone X; presumably, newer models like the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR are not impacted. The iPhone X was launched past year and reports of display issues cropped up a few months ago, but Apple did not respond at the time.
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple said that the screen on some iPhone X units does not respond to touch or responds intermittently when touched.
It's unclear how widespread the problem is, but an online search provides more than a few instances of iPhone X users complaining about the responsiveness of their iPhone X screens. The company said users with eligible iPhone X devices can have their display modules replaced for free at one of its retail stores or an Apple Authorised Service Provider. If you fixed it yourself - perhaps using the excellent guides over at iFixit - then you're not entitled to a refund, but you do get to bask in the glory of carrying out the fix yourself. The company also said that some 128GB and 256GB solid-state drives in 13-inch MacBook Pros have an issue that could result in data loss or drive failure.
