"The United States intends to remain a steadfast partner of Saudi Arabia to ensure the interests of our country, Israel and all other partners in the region", the president added, noting Saudi investments in USA military equipment and other contracts.
In a previous statement, Graham also said that the Crown Prince is "toxic" to U.S. - Saudi relations. "All we can say is that Mohammed bin Salman's attendance remains confirmed, we have received no contrary information so far", the source told the Guardian.
The prince, a former Saudi intelligence chief who has also served as ambassador to the United States, said the CIA's conclusion that Iraq possessed chemical weapons before the USA invasion in 2003 showed it could be unreliable. This is not an ally that deserves this kind of military intervention, especially because there's been no connection between the safety of the American people and our involvement in this war.
Intelligence officials have said the CIA presented the President with a confidence-based assessment given the facts of the situation.
