Google chief executive Sundar Pichai said in an interview that the company operates in lots of countries around the world where there is censorship and that when the search giant follows "right to be forgotten" laws, it is censoring search results in order to comply with local laws.
"Going forward, we will provide more transparency on how we handle concerns", he wrote.
Google will provide "more granularity", regarding sexual harassment investigations and their outcomes, according to Mr Pichai.
Mandatory sexual harassment training will also be updated and expanded with those not completing training receiving a docking of their performance rating.
"Google has never required confidentiality in the arbitration process and arbitration still may be the best path for a number of reasons (e.g. personal privacy) but, we recognize that choice should be up to you", Pichai's email said.
"As previously reported, Google allegedly gave former executive Andy Rubin a "hero's farewell" and a "$90 million exit package", despite concluding that sexual harassment allegations against him were "credible".

"We will impose more onerous actions if problems persist", Google said. They had also called on Alphabet to add an employee to its board and share gender-related pay data, neither of which Pichai addressed.
Some other demands that were not answered include a commitment to end pay inequity and the appointment of an employee representative to the board of directors.
