"If Tyson Fury does not enrol in the clean boxing programme, the fight is not for the WBC title".
The WBC and VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Assocation) joined forces in 2016 to eradicate drugs in boxing. If a fighter does not enroll, he is not eligible to fight for a WBC title or in a WBC-sanctioned bout.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed: 'Tyson has filed all the relevant paper work for our Clean Boxing protocol and given the necessary details as to where he can be tested'.
Asked when Fury must enrol, Sulaiman added: "I would say this week".
If Martin could have anybody on the planet for the next fight, if it was Wilder, Fury, Joshua - anybody - we would fight them."Now that Fury's paperwork is in and he is enrolled, we can start it nearly immediately". Читайте также: 3 companies win major Air Force rocket contracts
The build up has already begun with the two men doing three press conferences in England and the USA last week and plenty of mind games already starting with Wilder eventually going for his upcoming opponent in the final one and the pair having to be kept apart.
Fury is determined to regain his lost glory and is geared up for every challenge ahead while Wilder aims to continue his undefeated run, believing he has the skills to secure victory over Fury and then take on Anthony Joshua in April 2019 to unify the division. Ortiz previously failed a Nevada State Athletic Commission drug test in 2014 which led to a suspension and fine and cost him an interim world title.
Fury (27-0, 19 KOs) has a history with VADA.
Fury admitted that he had been using drugs, drinking heavily and that he was also dealing with mental health issues.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
