Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan spoke to Prince Mohammed on Wednesday and the two discussed the steps needed to bring to light all aspects of the killing of Khashoggi, a presidential source said.
Khashoggi, a columnist for The Washington Post, was last seen on October 2 when he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

USA lawmakers have increased their pressure on the Trump administration, accusing the crown prince of ordering the killing. On Tuesday, Trump told reporters that Saudi authorities had staged the "worst cover-up ever" of the crime, and suggested to the Wall Street Journal that the crown prince may be responsible.
A spokesperson for Canaccord Genuity Group Inc., whose executive chairman David Kassie is also listed as a 2017 speaker, said they would look into whether the company was attending but then did not respond to further inquiries. The Associated Press has reported that Salah had been under a travel ban since past year because of his father's work.
Saudi leaders have denied involvement in Khashoggi's murder, pushing responsibility down the chain of command.

Saudi Arabia has detained 18 people and dismissed five senior government officials as part of the investigation.
According to Reuters news agency, quoting Turkish and Arabic intelligence sources, one of the sacked aides appeared via Skype during Khashoggi's questioning. Among those fired was Saud al-Qahtani, a top aide to Prince Mohammed. However, his position seems to have begun to falter and he appears increasingly solitary and isolated, even among the same high spheres of the country who fear compromising relations with the United States, heretofore in favor of Riyadh as its regional an anti-Iranian pillar.
