A Turkish official told Reuters last week that authorities believed Khashoggi had been killed in a "premeditated" murder and his body moved out of the consulate, but details have been slow to emerge and Turkish officials have not said how they reached such conclusions.
A surveillance video image surfaced Tuesday showing Khashoggi walking into the consulate in Istanbul's upscale 4th Levent neighborhood.
The kingdom has dismissed the allegation as "baseless", but has released no evidence supporting its version of events which is that Khashoggi left the consulate unharmed shortly after entering.
The security sources told TRT World that the "hit squad" took CCTV footage from the Saudi consulate in Istanbul with them when they left Turkey.
Khashoggi was last seen a week ago entering the consulate in Istanbul to get documents related to his forthcoming marriage.

The video also shows alleged Saudi planes and agents, whom Turkish officials want to investigate in relation to the dissident journalist's disappearance.
