Princess Eugenie of York married her longtime commoner boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank, Friday in a stunning Peter Pilotto gown and a royal Russian-style tiara, in a lower-key repeat of the nuptials that enchanted the world when Prince Harry Wednesday his American girlfriend Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle in May.
That's why we were thrilled to see that royal photographer and author of Modern Monarchy (out October 16) Chris Jackson shared a couple behind-the-scenes pics of the decadent royal wedding cake on Instagram (see the slideshow above) ahead of the big day. Only eight years old at the time, the youngster looked simply adorable in a white bridesmaid dress, and joined the family while waving to well-wishers on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
