Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks and glam metal band Def Leppard led voting among fans on Tuesday for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, outstripping the 13 other nominees eligible for a place in music history.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame sends ballots to over 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry to select the inductees.
In a surprise twist, zero artists eligible for the first time this year were nominated, which includes OutKast, Beck, Jeff Buckley, The Roots, Dave Matthews Band, and Snoop Dogg.
The impressive members of The Hall now includes bands/artists across a variety of genres, including Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, KISS, David Bowie, ABBA, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith and the Eagles. This year's nominees have just been announced and there are a handful of fan favorites in the fray.
