The Browns went for it on fourth-and-1 at the Saints' 37, and cornerback Ken Crawley tackled running back Duke Johnson for a 1-yard loss, forcing a turnover on downs with 9:12 left in the second quarter. The turnovers (four lost fumbles in the first two games) are a major concern.
New Orleans made a field goal on its next possession to take a 21-18 win.
The first half was a defensive slugfest. Gonzalez hit a knuckleball wide left on the PAT keeping it a 12-3 Browns lead.
As you can probably guess, it was the 52-yarder which the Browns kicker missed to potentially send the game to overtime which led to the post. A shocking missed extra point attempt gave the Saints the ball back, all tied up at 18-18. He wrote about Gonzalez on Twitter after the game. Reactions poured in about Gonzalez, and you can probably guess that a lot of them featured frustration, anger, and calls for the kicker to be released. But, Brees connected with Ginn for a 42-yard completion, setting up the Saints for the game-winning field goal.Читайте также: Democratic Senator Feinstein urges Federal Bureau of Investigation probe of Kavanaugh allegations
OFFENSE: New Orleans' offense Sunday bore little resemblance to the unit that scored 40 points and rolled up more than 400 yards of offense in the season opener against Tampa Bay. It held a highly potent Saints offense to just 21 points and 275 total yards.
The Browns also will be without starting linebacker Christian Kirksey (shoulder/ankle) and tight end Seth DeValve (hamstring) on Sunday. It caused two turnovers and kept the Browns in the game the entire day.
The Browns used a strong start on defense to earn a 6-3 halftime lead.
The Saints drove deep into Cleveland territory again in the second quarter, but on third down, Brees was sacked for an 11-yard loss to the 27-yard line.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
