Samsung today has officially launched the Galaxy A7 (2018) and it is the company's first smartphone to sport a triple camera module on the rear. The latest iteration of the Galaxy A7 apparently improves on the 2017 version of the device announced earlier past year. The Galaxy A7 (2018) also comes with Bixby, Samsung Pay and Samsung Health, along with Dolby Atmos support. The device's 24MP lens works to combine four pixels into one pixel in low light environments in order to automatically accommodate more light. The categories include Food, Portraits, Flowers, Indoor scenes, and Landscapes, among others.
DJ Koh, president and CEO of IT and mobile communications division, Samsung Electronics, who was in India last month, said the company is refreshing its mid-priced smartphones with flagship premium features for the upcoming festive quarter.

The front camera is no slouch either, featuring 24-megapixel resolution, an adjustable LED flash and the "Selfie Focus" effect that brings bokeh to your self-portraits. It has a 6-inch AMOLED FHD+ Infinity Display, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of storage. Originally thought to feature a single rear camera, the Galaxy A7 2018 edition has already been spotted in Geekbench previous year sporting an Exynos 7885 SoC and 6 GB of RAM; however, it is unclear if Samsung will keep such early specs on this model. The phone uses an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU paired on an unnamed chipset and comes in three different memory configurations - 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB or 6GB/128GB. Connectivity options on board include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 5.0, USB Type-B, NFC (optional) 4G VoLTE and Global Positioning System, among others. The handset measures 159.8 x 76.8 x 7.5 mm and weighs 168 grams.
Samsung has launched the device in four colour options- Black, Blue, Pink and Gold. The device is backed by a 3,300mAh battery and should support adaptive fast charging. "That's why we're excited to introduce innovative new features to the A series with the Galaxy A7, a practical but powerful device that is built to help make your everyday both convenient and extraordinary". Not for now, at least, as Samsung told us that it will be available in Europe and Asia "this fall", but will roll out to additional markets in the future, hopefully including North America as well.
