Despite his untimely passing, his work has not gone unrecognized and Bourdain has been honored with a staggering six Emmy awards at the annual Creative Arts Emmys for his critically acclaimed CNN show Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, as well as its digital spin-off.
Bourdain was found dead in his hotel room in France in June at the age of 61.
According to Variety, the Parts Unknown crew paid tribute to Bourdain during their acceptance speeches. His collaborator and executive producer Lydia Tenaglia, who accepted the award on his behalf, said it was "the one award he secretly coveted", and called the win "bittersweet".
