Plus, Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort's fate lies in the hands of a deliberating jury.
After news of Trump stripping former Central Intelligence Agency director John Brennan of his security clearance hit the headlines, the White House offered an explanation for the maneuver, with press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders issuing a statement, alleging that Brennan was sacked over "wild outbursts on the internet and television", and "conduct characterized by increasingly frenzied commentary", according to Vanity Fair. "He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don't know him", McRaven wrote.
"There's no silence", Trump said.
A retired Navy admiral who oversaw the raid that killed Osama bin Laden is telling President Donald Trump that he'd be honored if Trump would yank his security clearance just like he did to former CIA Director John Brennan.
The signees included seven former CIA directors, five former CIA deputy directors and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Gates and Panetta also served as secretaries of defense. As for Christopher Steele, the ex-British spy who authored the dirty dossier, Trump said, "They should be looking at Steele".

"There's no silence. If anything, I'm giving them a bigger voice", Trump said.
"If you think for a moment that your McCarthy-era tactics will suppress the voices of criticism, you are sadly mistaken".
The White House said Brennan - a notable Trump critic - had been stripped of clearance due to his "erratic" behavior. "As part of this review, I'm evaluating action with respect to the following individuals - James Clapper, James Comey, Michael Hayden, Sally Yates, Susan Rice, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page and Bruce Ohr". "I suspect I'll be taking it away very quickly", Trump told journalists.
Ohr works in the Justice Department's criminal division.
Of those on the list, only Ohr is still employed in government service, but maintaining a security clearance is useful for finding documents if any of them are called to testify before special counsel Robert Mueller investigation. Last year, in a speech at the University of Texas, he pushed back against Trump's assault on the news media as "the enemy of the American people". A good leader sets the example for others to follow.
"Mr. Mueller is highly conflicted". Trump said he'd had to do "something" about the "rigged" federal probe of Russian election interference. "We did nothing. There's no collusion". He reiterated that his action was directly tied to the Russian Federation investigation, or "rigged witch hunt", as Trump calls it.
