One is a total solar eclipse when the moon passes directly in front of the sun and blocks our view of the sun.
This morning the partial eclipse began at 8.02am UT (9.02am BST) with the Moon beginning to encroach on the Sun.
But so central was the July 27 lunar eclipse, with the moon passing nearly directly through the middle of Earth's shadow, that it allowed for not just one, but two partial solar eclipses: one that occurred two weeks before the lunar eclipse, and another on august 11 (two weeks afterward).
The eclipse will start at 4:02 a.m. The peak of the eclipse will be around 11:46am CEST, ending around 1:30pm CEST.
Where can you see it?
Partial eclipses tend to look different - it can leave only a sliver of the sun visible, it can cover half of it can only cover a very small potion - depending on your location during the big celestial event.Photographic film is also inappropriate for taking a picture of the eclipse. "But the only reason behind these myths was ignorance and lack of knowledge", he said, adding, "During an eclipse, you can do all the activities and follow all your dietary habits that you do on a daily basis". Following the blood moon on July 27, a partial solar eclipse will be witnessed today.

Disturbances in its solar wind can have an impact on near-Earth space, which can affect our planet's satellites. After making its closest approach in late 2024, the spacecraft will run out of fuel and be destroyed.
As mentioned previously, an eclipse is a phenomenon in which the Earth, Sun and Moon are aligned in a manner, which results in one body being blocked from getting sunlight.
The shadow will move from Greenland, part of North America to northern Europe and northeastern Asia.
What time is the solar eclipse?
According to GSFC map, partial solar eclipse 2018 will be seen over North Pole and eastern parts of Siberia.Just like during the August 2017 total solar eclipse, you will need special eclipse glasses to get the best viewing experience of the partial eclipse to protect your eyes. Skywatchers should use binoculars, a telescope or optical camera viewfinder to watch the eclipse.
Making a pinhole in cardboard and holding it above a piece of paper on the ground can project the image of the solar eclipse without gazing at the Sun.
