An Oregon man was arrested Thursday night after getting caught on video earlier this week "harassing a bison" in Yellowstone National Park, officials announced. He was released on bond the following day and traveled to Yellowstone National Park. On the night of August 2, Glacier National Park rangers began looking for his vehicle.
Raymond Reinke, 55, is facing a number of charges in connection with a number of incidents, NBC Montana reported.
Reinke, who has been visiting several national parks, had already been arrested July 28 in Grand Teton National Park on suspicion of drunk and disorderly conduct, according to a news release from the Park Service. He spent the night in jail and was released on bond. Rangers at Yellowstone stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation on Tuesday.
Rangers identified one of the guests as Reinke, who was sent back to Yellowstone and appeared in US court Friday. He was cited in that instance for failing to wear a seatbelt as a passenger. Reinke can be seen in it walking in front of crawling traffic as a bison meanders through cars and onto the shoulder of the road. Officials believe after that, he encountered the buffalo, from which rangers received reports of wildlife harassment from other visitors. "The video of the event surfaced after that citation had been issued".
"Seeing the egregious nature of the wildlife violation, the assistant US attorney requested his bond be revoked", the Park Service said in Friday's announcement of Reinke's arrest.

Reinke had told rangers that his plans were to travel to Glacier National Park. Rangers identified one of the individuals involved as Reinke.
On Thursday, Aug. 2, Yellowstone rangers working with their counterparts in Grand Teton Park were able to connect the dots in Reinke's record of criminal activity in the two parks. He was arrested on the spot and transported to Helena last night where he was handed off to Yellowstone rangers who took him to Mammoth Hot Springs and booked him into the Yellowstone Jail. That where he was arrested on a drunk and disorderly charge. On Thursday night, Glacier National Park rangers began looking for his vehicle.
"We appreciate the collaboration of our fellow rangers in Glacier and Grand Teton national parks on this arrest".
Reinke's court appearance is scheduled for Friday. At that time rangers responded to a disturbance at a hotel dining room where two people were arguing.
