Still, if you've been hoping for carrier support for OnePlus before you pick one up, that wait may be coming to an end soon.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the so-called "Uncarrier" T-Mobile US is the partner OnePlus has come to an agreement with, and the magenta-coloured network provider will sell the OnePlus 6T when it launches a little later this year.
But it's unclear what will differentiate the 6T from the 6: With last year's OnePlus 5T, the firm moved to the tall and thin 18:9-ish form factor that is now common with flagship phones. The OnePlus 6T will likely include a few minor improvements and be priced in the $550 range. Teasing U.S. carrier availability is risky business for most phone makers, but especially those hailing from China.
"T-Mobile will be the exclusive USA carrier partner for the OnePlus 6T when it launches in October, according to people familiar with the launch plans", CNET claims. Huawei was embarrassed after its collaboration with AT&T to sell the Mate 10 Pro was shut down at the 11th hour, over pressure from the us officials fearing a link between the Shenzhen-based manufacturer and the Chinese government.

If all goes according to plan, it appears OnePlus could finally have a phone that any customer walking through a T-Mobile store could just chance upon.
If we take that taking point at face value, it's unclear how the company will be able to maintain its budget proposition. And it now looks like the first carrier partnership will be with T-Mobile.
Will the OnePlus 6T bring a sizable price hike, or something more consistent with OnePlus' previous incremental bumps?
Anyway, this is great news for OnePlus.
