In Paris, on the Champs Elysees Sunday, July 29, ended in the world's most prestigious multi-day Bicycle race "Tour de France to 2018".

When asked to describe their friendship in this unusual scenario at a press conference, Froome went with a stock answer, Geraint said they were good mates "for now" with a smile on his face.

"It's a massive commitment and dedication, and much appreciated obviously".
"With the boys, that's the main thing for the whole three weeks, we stuck together through some tough times, stayed strong", Thomas said.
"Be careful now because you are the victor of the Tour de France, you can't roll round on the floor and be sick like you have done in the past, because you'll be in the papers tomorrow morning".
