According to The Athletic, the Rangers received minor league pitcher Wei-Chieh Huang in return for Diekman, a lefty.
Huang, rated the Diamondbacks' 22nd-best prospect in midseason MLB.com rankings, was selected to the World Team roster for the 2015 All-Star Futures Game, pitching in that year's game at Great American Ball Park. He went 2-1, made one save and struck out 32 in 27.0 innings pitched.
A left-handed pitcher, Diekman has a 1-1 record, 3.69 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched, this season.
Rangers starter Martin Perez allowed four runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings.

Diekman has gone 1-1 with a 3.69 ERA (16 ER/39.0 IP) over a team-high 47 relief appearances with the Rangers this season.
Diekman would be the latest reliever to join the D-backs Tuesday. The right-hander spent time with both Double-A Jackson and Class A-Advanced Visalia. He is 5-3 with a 3.18 ERA over his four years with Texas.
With the Rangers out of contention and Diekman set to hit free agency at the end of the season, he was among their most obvious trade candidates.
