One woman died this afternoon in the Trader Joe's grocery store on Hyperion Avenue after a suspect accused of shooting his grandmother and 20-year-old girlfriend in South Los Angeles earlier in the day, barricaded himself for three hours in the store taking four hostages while dozens of other employees and shoppers hid inside.
About two hours before taking the hostages, police say the man shot his grandmother seven times and wounded another woman, who he forced into a auto.
