Two Kansas City police officers were shot Sunday morning, sparking a hunt for the gunman, and then another officer was shot when police converged on the shooter's location, according to Fox 4. Both were rushed to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police had been watching multiple locations for the homicide suspect, and he "popped up" at Sky-Vu Motel, 8300 E. US 40, Chief of Police Rick Smith said.
The incident began around 12:15 p.m.in an area near Interstate 70.
