Warner Bros released the first trailer for their upcoming superhero film, Shazam!, at the ongoing San Diego Comic Con, an annual convention where Hollywood studios unveil their biggest upcoming movies before thousands of fans.
This is of course Jason Momoa's first standalone as Arthur/Aquaman so it'll be interesting to see if he can carry the movie.
The 2 1/2-minute clip has gotten almost 10 million views since Warner Bros. posted it on YouTube Saturday. Shazam! looks to sprinkle in a much-needed dose of comedy to the ongoing DC Comics extended universe. Sandberg says over 100 actors went out for the part but, "When I saw his first tape, it was just flawless". The trailer indicates that a good chunk of the movie will delve into Batson's attempts to discover what powers he's obtained.
