"We will notify the media of an update once any of the remains have been identified", Gray said.
Det. -Sgt. Hank Idsinga made the comments Monday in an interview with the Toronto Star newspaper as the investigation continues into the eight murders linked to former landscaper Bruce McArthur.
The property was first searched earlier this year, leading to the discovery of the remains of seven men, found in planters seized from the home, police said.
"We essentially recovered different parts every day that we were digging there,"Det".
"I can confirm that remains were found nearly every day we were there", Toronto police spokesperson Meaghan Gray said in an email.
Investigators wrapped up the search on July 13, nine days after they began to dig behind the Leaside property where McArthur had once stored landscaping equipment.
Police said the remains were sometimes as small as bone fragments or teeth.
The majority of the alleged victims were men with ties to Toronto's gay community, many of whom had been missing for years.

It's unclear whether the remains belong to any of the alleged McArthur victims that police have already identified, or possibly other victims.
The Leaside property has been a focal point of the investigation for several months.
They then returned to the Mallory property after cadaver dogs indicated possible locations to excavate.
McArthur, 66, of Toronto, is alleged to have killed Majeed Kayhan, Selim Esen, Skandaraj Navaratnam, Andrew Kinsman, Dean Lisowick, Soroush Mahmudi, Abdulbasir Faizi and Kirushna Kanagaratnam.
McArthur is now facing eight first-degree murder charges.
Gray could not confirm exactly how many remains were found or the identities of the victims, but staff at Ontario's Forensic Pathology Services are working to get some much-needed answers. He said identification could take "days, weeks or months" depending on the method of identification used.
Police have searched about 100 properties linked to McArthur, but have only found body parts in and around the one home.
It is expected that MacArthur will return to court July 23.
