The middle of this summer's eclipse season coincides with a total eclipse of the moon on July 27, and it is so central (the moon will pass nearly straight through the middle of Earth's shadow) that we can also have two "marginal" solar eclipses - the first comes two weeks before the lunar one and the other solar eclipse comes two weeks after. NASA has reported that it is likely to be the longest event from now till year 2123. In other words, these incidents can be seen safely with the naked eye. In southern Africa and the Middle East, for example, shadow will be at or around midnight local time.
The partial eclipse of the Moon will begin at 23h 54m IST on July 27. In India and Central Asia, the moon will start passing at 10:44 pm in the Earth's shadow. However, solar eclipse will be partially visible in India, which is further called the partial social eclipse or the extracellular solar eclipse.
Question arises when it comes to differentiating the solar and lunar eclipse.
And those people who would like to test their luck in observing the eclipse, NASA had said the event will happen around 3.02am UTC or 1.02pm as for Australia Time. The real treat is the lunar eclipse that will take place later this month. According to it, it is the first of its kind when the sun, the earth and the moon are not properly lined up.

A solar eclipse, especially partial ones are often not seen directly by people, but they do happen. During the year, there are at least two eclipses of the Sun, but no more than five. The longest lunar eclipses occur when the moon moves right down the center of this cone.
FOR astronomy enthusiasts, the intervening night of July 27and 28 promises to be an exciting one as a total lunar eclipse with a duration of 1 hour 43 minutes - the longest in the century - can be observed.
The next total lunar eclipse will occur on January 21, 2019, and will be visible from North America, South America and parts of Europe, Africa and the central Pacific. "In case of the eclipse, too, viewing would be hard but since the window is longer, people could hope to see something", Paranjpye said.
