As more advanced televisions capable of displaying HDR content hit the market, Netflix is hoping to keep up with the increasing demand by offering streamable content at these ultra-high definitions.
Love binge-watching Netflix? Well if you are a subscriber to the company's Premium plan, you might end up shelling out more for the service. The plan will price higher than the company's current $13.99 "Premium" option, according to a report from TuttoAndroid, who first spotted the new plan.
It is estimated that the plan will cost 16.99 Dollars per month, given the way Netflix does its current pricing. The Ultra Plan, which The Verge figures will cost around $16.99, also lets you stream on four screens, but in HDR video and 4k resolution. This plan will allow users to experience 4K quality of videos on 4 screens simultaneously. Well, for Netflix, it could be Ultra, a more expensive subscription tier but that appears to offer the same functionality as the current Premium tier.
The new plans are being tested in Europe.

The streaming platform told CNET that they were "testing slightly different price points and features to better understand how consumers value Netflix".
"This feature is only offered on the website and has seen declining usage over time", said Netflix spokesperson Smita Saran.
Wall Street analysts have said that Netflix has enough pull for testing out these higher prices. Netflix also increased its Premium plan by $2 to $13.99. There have been speculations that chordcutting.com is testing two prices in Germany which are 16.99 United States dollars and 19.99 USD; so, Netflix also will be tinkering with its prices for new plans. Depending on how the trial performs with this initial group, Netflix may or may not decide to roll out this plan to a wider group of customers.
