- A MA man who was returning from a hospital visit with his wife and newborn daughter has died in a head-on auto crash on Cape Cod.
Officials said 32-year-old Kevin Quinn, of Mashpee, was traveling west when his GMC SUV crashed into a Toyota sedan that was headed in the opposite direction. The crash came after Mashpee police began chasing the Toyota driven by Mickey A. Rivera at speeds that may have reached 65 miles an hour, according to a Mashpee dispatch recording from Broadcastify.com.
The Fall River driver accused of causing a deadly crash in Cotuit that killed a young father was out on bail for his role in a violent robbery, 7News has learned.
WCVB Boston is reporting that the of the vehicle apparently fleeing from police that crashed into and killed Marine Corps Veteran and new father Kevin Quinn, 32, of Mashpee was free in the community after his bail had been drastically reduced.

The Cape Cod Times reported that police were apparently pursuing Rivera's auto before the crash because he was allegedly driving erratically and speeding.
Quinn and his wife, Kara, had celebrating the July 25 birth of their first child, Logan Audrey Quinn, at Cape Cod Hospital this weekend.
An online fund set up for the Quinn family has already raised more than $128,000.
Rivera's passenger, Jocelyn Goyette, 24, of New Bedford, was in critical condition Sunday, officials said.
