Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. says the 66-year-old Weinstein is charged with "some of the most serious sexual offenses" that exist under state law.
Prosecutor Joan Illuzzi said the number of Weinstein accusers "shows the breadth of the criminality here".
Lead defense attorney Benjamin Brafman affirmed that the home has been sold, but said a stipulation of the sale was that Weinstein could stay in the house until February 2019.

The Oscar-winning producer, whose namesake company is also due to conclude its bankruptcy sale this week, is next scheduled to appear in court on September 12. "Mr Weinstein is not a predator; he is not a rapist and I believe that when this case is over we will ultimately see him be exonerated".
