Picking an argument with someone like Roy Keane is a bit like insulting Vinnie Jones' mum, not the best idea.
"You're talking about the final?"
Football pundits and former worldwide players Roy Keane and Ian Wright went head-to-head in an amusing live on-air debate, after England's exit to Croatia in the World Cup semi-final.
Mr Keane criticised the way they were planning parades and thinking about the final before they even got there.
Keane replied: 'I don't mind you being happy, but you were getting carried away.Читайте также: As tempting as supplemental draft prospects are, Rams should pass
As fellow pundits Gary Neville and Lee Dixon laugh, Wright says: "We weren't talking about the final, we were having a laugh". We were happy, you weren't happy for us to be happy at that time, ' Wright said.
England were knocked out of the tournament by Croatia after their European rivals fought back from 1-0 down to win in extra-time.
Ever the stony-faced pragmatist, the Irishman and former United captain Keane accused ex-England striker Wright of getting caught losing focus on the immediate games of the World Cup.
Keane did credit the English players for their efforts in reaching the semis but reserved his highest praise for the victors, Croatia. You needed a reality check.
He said: "Get excited when they get to the final!" This game can kick you where it hurts, and England will have to suffer that tonight.
"Look at these England players, a lot of them haven't won a trophy, it's highly unlikely the first trophy you're going to win in your career is a World Cup."При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
