Trump-backing vehicle mogul Ernie Boch Jr.is extending the warm hand of friendship to liberal scholar Alan Dershowitz - who says he's been ostracized on Martha's Vineyard by lefty friends for his legal arguments defending President Trump.
"These childish efforts to shun me because I refused to change my position on civil liberties that I have kept for half a century discourages vibrant debate and may dissuade other civil libertarians from applying their neutral principles to a president of whom they disapprove", Dershowitz wrote.
I am opposed to appointing a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton's campaign, and I was against it for Trump.
"Recently a woman at a [Martha's Vineyard] party said, if [Dershowitz] were at this party, she would stab [him] in the heart", Dershowitz said.
Today everyone is talking about Alan Dershowitz's article in the Hill complaining that he has been socially banned on Martha's Vineyard because of his advocacy for Donald Trump.
Dershowitz also spoke out again about his recent plights at Martha's Vineyard, where he said to have been shunned by his fellow liberals over his defense of Trump's constitutional rights, with one woman even fantasizing about his death. Some his old friends in Martha's Vineyard don't see it that way, however; he said they are "shunning" him.
Boch, who apparently runs with a different crowd, said he's chumming with pals on both sides of the partisan divide - and Dershowitz is welcome to hang with them.

Sweden, England Fans Prepare For Quarter-Final Clash
The stars seem to be aligned!" "I think the great thing for England is we are used to playing against that sort of opposition". We enjoy tonight, we hope everyone at home enjoys tonight as it's not very often this happens.
Croatia hold their nerve to beat Russia on penalties
Croatia broke Russian hearts by dumping the host out of the World Cup, winning a tense quarterfinal on penalties. After making the semi-final in 1998 in France the Croatians return to the last four, this time to face England.
Dershowitz told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Thursday that he wonders if Scarborough "has the guts" to invite him on "Morning Joe".
"Unfortunately the scourge of McCarthyism is back", said show co-host Joe Scarborough.
"They did this to try to hurt me, but the end result is they're helping Donald Trump".
However, this summer Mr. Dershowitz says that as he has communicated his opinion that support President Trump he does not quite feel welcomed on the vineyard.
The star lawyer said that despite the ostracism from social life, he'll remain a supporter of the Democratic Party, though he'll continue defending the civil liberties of all Americans, including the President.
"They are strengthening Donald Trump's hands", he said.
