The US singer, actor and global icon is reportedly about to make history by not only gracing the cover of Vogue's September issue but also taking charge of the final product instead of editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The Huffington Post followed up with its own reporting, confirming that per sources who could not be revealed due to agreements between the star and the famed publication, Beyonce would not only appear on the cover but also chose her own photographer, 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell. Bey last covered Vogue in 2015.
The report says Beyoncé has negotiated a contract which will give her "full control over the cover, the photos of her inside the magazine and the captions, which she has written herself and are in long form".
This move by editor-in-chief Anna Wintour comes as a surprise for most as she is known for asserting complete control over the cover, fashion bible, and even with the selection of the cover models' outfits.
The September issue marks a new season of fashion, trends and advertiser dollars.
