Though it's now running a promotion offering the premium service free for the first three months. For the first time, YouTube is also detailing that a Family Plan is available for $14.99 in the USA and Canada.
YouTube Premium is basically the same service as YouTube Red.
YouTube has also said that anyone in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and South Korea can sign to YouTube Music. The company has also lifted a page from Apple's book, and is offering three months of premium for free. For that reason, it's hard to see YouTube Music proving all that popular without a subscription.
"We are looking at specific personalities and genres that are really working well for YouTube and how we can work with those people, or find production companies who can identify with these trends and make things that can really connect", Hyams told Variety.
