"Paul is best known for his work as the drummer in the bands Pantera and Hellyeah", the band said in a statement released on Twitter and Facebook. No further details are available at this time.

The drummer and founding member of heavy metal band Pantera, Vinnie Paul, has died at the age of 54.
Paul Stanley of the band KISS wrote: "So sad to hear of the death of Vinnie Paul".
"Vinnie Paul showed us nothing but love. You will be truly missed".
Vinne formed Pantera in the "80s along with his brother 'Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.
